Vera Stoefs is a creator of contemporary porcelain tableware.

What began as a desire to work with her hands grew into a long and steady practice. She started evening classes at the IKA in Mechelen in 1991, followed by workshops with renowned ceramicists across Europe. Today she runs her own studio and teaches others the art of porcelain throwing.

Her choice for porcelain is deliberate. She is drawn to its whiteness, precision and translucency — a material that allows for clear, tight forms and serves as a pure canvas for colour. Dinnerware is equally intentional: she enjoys bringing beauty into the everyday through simple geometric shapes, clean lines and detailed finish.

All of Vera’s pieces are handmade. Working in small batches allows her to keep the process focused and refined, staying close to both the material and the final object.

“From my hands to your table” reflects her approach: creating thoughtful, one‑of‑a‑kind pieces that become part of daily life.
